Subtitling
We've all been there. You're sitting on the train, in the waiting room at the dentist's or at a table in your favorite coffee shop. You're scrolling through social media and come across a great video, but... you can't listen to it!
Without subtitles, this would be a problem. You'd simply scroll on and forget about the video in no time. Do you want to avoid this? Then add subtitles to all your videos! This way, you increase their accessibility and generate more traffic in the process.
You may be thinking: can't I use AI for this? Of course you can, but it comes with some risks:
- With AI, subtitles are generated automatically. If the software doesn't understand something, it tries to fill in the gaps, resulting in small or even large errors.
- AI doesn't take sentence structure into account. It can break off lines or subtitles in the most illogical places, making the end result feel unnatural.
- AI doesn't understand context or nuances. A punchline might get lost, while a hesitation or moment of silence could be misinterpreted as the end of the sentence. Not ideal, right?
