About me
Once upon a time there was a girl…
No, I'm not about to tell you a fairy tale, but I can't think of better words to begin the 'About me' section. After all, stories are the common thread in my life and have shaped me into the person I am today.
As a child, you would always find me with my nose in a book. My love for literature led me to study languages, and I eventually earned a Master's degree in English and Latin. That same passion has guided me professionally as well, and for more than 10 years now, I've been working with languages and stories.
As a translator, I play with languages every day. I convert other people's words from English into Dutch and vice versa. My specialty? Subtitling. From Hollywood movies to documentaries, from corporate to educational videos. I love to immerse myself in a film or series and really enjoy the linguistic puzzle that this work entails.
As a language and communication instructor, I help people translate their ideas into well-written texts or engaging speeches, or I guide them through the first steps of learning a new language. This way, I provide everyone with the tools they need to communicate powerfully, in their native language or a foreign one, so that they can tell their story with confidence.
